2nd Generation 4Runner rock sliders

Rock Crawling can really beat up trucks.  Rock sliders help prevent the 'pinch rails' and the body from getting destroyed or tweaked when the truck is high centered.  These rock sliders were originally made to bolt up to a 3rd generation 4Runner.  The customer decided he wanted them permanently mounted to his 2nd generation 4Runner instead of buying new ones.  The cost of fabrication and modification through us was cheaper then the cost of new sliders.

 Rock sliders are different than running boards, they need to be tucked as closely to the body of the truck without touching the body.  The flex of the truck as a whole as well as the body flex has to be taken into consideration as well so that the sliders don't hit any parts of the body or car.

Here's a video of somebody else in a situation where they're glad they have rock sliders.  Even though it was high centered on the frame, body damage could have occurred as well.
